The Skirball Cultural Center, have you been?
Wait, before you answer that I think I should make one thing clear. The Skirball is NOT the Getty Museum. I repeat, the Skirball is not the Getty Museum.
Okay, I’ll admit it. I am probably the worst so-called “blogger” there is.
But, you know what? LIFE sometimes gets in the way. And if I am being completely honest, this past year has been a doozy. LOTS of life changes, most of them for the good thankfully, but it did affect my whole blogging journey. Luckily, I am finally in a position where I can restart this whole journey yet again.
I am really excited for what is to come, and I hope you are too! But it wouldn’t be possible without YOU. I just want to thank you for reading and all the continued support. Seriously, thank you!
Now, let’s talk about SANTA MONICA. Read more
I really don’t know why I didn’t write this post sooner!
A few months ago I finally had the chance to take Hayden somewhere she has been dying to go, The Beverly Hills Hotel. A weird request for a 6-year-old, right? Well, if you know Hayden, it really wasn’t. She is a budding movie buff and ever since watching Troop Beverly Hills she just had to go. So one day when we found ourselves in the area with nothing to do, I figured what better time to visit. Thanks to the help of my BFF, who just so happens to work there, I was able to make one of Hayden’s little dreams come true! Read more
School is finally back in session and fall is just around the corner! Although I will miss summer dearly, fall in Los Angeles is seriously the best time of year. I know we don’t get to experience the whole “changing of the seasons” bit, but during this time of year, we have the best weather ever. If you live here then you already know, but if you plan on visiting anytime soon I’d suggest coming during the months of September-November. Not only is the weather nearly always in the upper 70s but the crowds of summer have all gone. Plus, there a ton of fun fall activities. So today I am going to be sharing a few of my favorite things to do in LA during the fall. Read more
Like I said in my last post, a lot has been going on recently. Just a few weekends ago we had the chance to visit the Museum of Ice Cream while it was still in LA. Okay, so our visit was not by “chance.” I was literally on my computer the second they added additional tickets to this place because they completely sold out the first time around. If you didn’t know, the Museum of Ice Cream was the place to be this summer in LA and with all the hype surrounding it we just had to go.
So, was it worth it??
Here is the skinny on the Museum of Ice Cream… Read more
In just a few hours I am going to be in Palm Desert, sipping, lounging, and of course, chasing my little ones in and out of the pool. As of today, I am in total VACATION MODE. Never mind work, cleaning, and packing, which I am dreading the most! What is it about packing when you have children that make it exciting, daunting and terrifying all at the same time?? Forget one specific outfit or toy and the vacation is “ruined” according to your six-year-old. I swear she is such a drama queen. Luckily I have a way of combatting such forgetfulness that this momma is so prone too, lists! Yes, before packing I will sit, with a pad of paper and pen in hand, and make a complete list of everything that I need to bring. Shirts, shoes, toothbrush, diapers, wipes, bathing suits, toys…you get the idea. Anyone else write these little vacation packing lists, or is it just me?
About time, right?! I know, I have been seriously lagging…again. But in my defense, I am just getting over a slight cold and recently just started a new job! So I’ve been a bit preoccupied and haven’t even thought about writing. But this post is long over-due. With the baby currently napping, I figure why not take advantage of the quiet time. Read more
It’s that time of year again, you know that day you dread as you get older. Yes, I’m talking about B-DAY. What is it that once you pass the age of 25 you don’t really want to discuss getting older anymore? I know what you’re thinking, I’m only in my late 20’s why am I freaking out? And you’re right. But I have this weird thing with time. Just the thought of getting “old” gives me anxiety. Anyway, as my birthday approached this year I wasn’t filled with dread like I usually am. Instead, I feel more confident and comfortable in all aspects of my life. So, if that is something that comes more with age, then I guess turning older isn’t too bad. Okay, enough rambling, let’s talk about the fun stuff. Read more
