Sorry about my absence, it was not intentional. I had a bit of laptop drama. Luckily the problem was easily taken care of.
Anyways, I feel like SO much has gone on since my last post (which was one of my most read posts to date! THANK YOU SO MUCH!) Most notably, my shoot with PinkBlush! CHECK US OUT HERE! I still can’t believe that it actually happened. I guess it’s not that big of a deal, but for me, it was a little dream come true! Read more
If you read my post 20 Things About Me, then you already know that I love interior design. For me, home decor is what truly makes a house a home. One of the best compliments I receive is when someone enters my home and comments on how welcoming/homey it feels. And while everyone’s design aesthetic is different, my goal when decorating is to make my home feel warm and welcoming. That may be attributed to the fact that I only fill my home with pieces I absolutely love. Read more
Currently sitting here downing a cup of coffee just trying to stay awake because this morning we were up bright and early. When I say “bright and early” I am talking like 6:30 am, which for this momma, may as well have been 4 am. I am not an early riser so for me to get up at that time it has to be for something special. Which was exactly the case because today we went to check out the Space Shuttle Endeavour at the California Science Center! Read more
We are back from our little vacation in Palm Desert and we had the absolute best time! If you follow me on Instagram you already know that we did nothing but hang out by the pool, play, and watch movies. But seriously, if you are looking for a fun getaway for yourself and the kids check out Shadow Ridge Marriot- The Enclaves. They not only have an amazing facility with tons of pools and even a waterslide, but they have a whole staff dedicated to family activities. From poolside bingo, scavenger hunts, tie-dye shirt making, lawn games, and even a ‘dive-in movie’ every night by the pool, the number of activities are seriously endless! Plus when you add in the mini movie theater, arcade and video games all located on site there is not much more you could want or ask for. Read more
In just a few hours I am going to be in Palm Desert, sipping, lounging, and of course, chasing my little ones in and out of the pool. As of today, I am in total VACATION MODE. Never mind work, cleaning, and packing, which I am dreading the most! What is it about packing when you have children that make it exciting, daunting and terrifying all at the same time?? Forget one specific outfit or toy and the vacation is “ruined” according to your six-year-old. I swear she is such a drama queen. Luckily I have a way of combatting such forgetfulness that this momma is so prone too, lists! Yes, before packing I will sit, with a pad of paper and pen in hand, and make a complete list of everything that I need to bring. Shirts, shoes, toothbrush, diapers, wipes, bathing suits, toys…you get the idea. Anyone else write these little vacation packing lists, or is it just me?
I feel like we are already in the dog-days of summer and our break just started! It’s already July and I don’t even have a decent tan yet! Haha. Anyways, the other day I took the girl to a local park that sits just above the beach. It was such a beautiful day; Sunny, warm, cloudless sky, and just a slight ocean breeze. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Read more
Hey, guys! So I have completely MIA this month. Between life and motherhood this month I haven’t gotten much time to tend to the blog. Hayden recently started Summer break and I am still trying to adjust to having both kids with me 24/7. That being said, I don’t get much me-time, which is when I usually write my posts. So instead of writing about one of our little adventures or about the girls like I usually do, I figured why not make this post all about ME! Here are 20 things you might not know about me, Krystal, or as most of you know me as, Hayden and Holland’s momma. Read more
June has finally arrived and summer is just around the corner! That being said, I have already begun to plan different activities to keep the kids and I entertained during those long summer days. While we’ll be frequenting the beach and park quite often, I have tried to think of other activities that are both educational and fun. So as a sort of “test run” of said activities, I recently took the girls to visit the Lomita Railroad Museum. While I was super enthusiastic about our impending visit, Hayden (my oldest) didn’t seem to be thrilled with the idea. Lucky for me, her tune changed once we arrived. Read more
