Out all four amusement parks in the Los Angeles area, Knott’s Berry Farm has always been my second favorite. What can I say, I’m forever a Disney girl. But when I’m in the mood for a little thrill, Knott’s is definitely my go-to.
With 13 roller coasters, log rides, interactive attractions, and more, Knott’s Berry Farm is sure to appeal to all the members in your family. As one of the most affordable amusement parks around LA, there are still a few hacks that will save you time and money. All while increasing the experience and fun!
Here are four hacks to consider the next time you plan a trip to Knott’s.
KNOTT’S HACK #1
The first Knott’s hack I can not recommend enough. Simply buy your tickets ONLINE. Even if you decide to go on a whim. Just whip out your phone and purchase the tickets through knotts.com. Why? Well because you will almost pay double if you purchase at the gate. Oh, and If you happen to be a AAA member you can get a few more bucks off. Just make sure to buy the tickets through their website.
With Knott’s Berry Farm having more thrill rides, height restrictions might be an issue for some of the smaller members of your family. While you can split your time between Camp Snoopy and the rest of the park, there are a few rides that are great for the entire family. To make sure everyone is included in all the fun, check out these rides:
A full day of thrill-seeking is sure to leave you feeling a little hungry. While there are plenty of food options in the park (roasted corn, funnel cakes, burgers), you may want to step outside Knott’s to feed those hunger pains. Especially if you’re feeding your entire family. Knott’s hack #3, and my personal favorite, is to eat at Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant. Located just outside the main entrance, Mrs Knott’s not only has DELICIOUS food but you get so much more for your money. For just $22 you get a three-course dinner with soup, salad, biscuits, chicken, sides, and dessert. Split that between two people. since it’s more than enough food, and you walk away with a full belly for $11. Or you can get a three-piece a basic chicken strip meal (drink not included) for $16.99 in the park. Your choice!
Even if you plan visiting Knott’s Berry Farm just few times opt to buy the season pass. Not only will it pay for itself with two visits, but there are TONS of benefits. A few of the best perks include:
- Admission to Knott’s Berry Farm, Soak City, Knott’s Spooky Farm, and Knott’s Merry Farm
- No blackout dates
- Discounts on food, merchandise, and hotels
- Bring-a-Friend discount days
- Early Admission times on select days and new ride previews
There you have it.
